There are many original songs, but also nursery rhymes and lullabies for babies such as:

  • If you’re happy,
  • Itsy Bitsy Spider,
  • Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star and,
  • Row, Row, Row Your Boat.

Some baby songs lullabies incorporate simple concepts like colors and numbers, and almost all the videos songs encourage children to move around with simple choreographies, easy to mimic.

The original Portuguese version of the song for babies Galinha Pintadinha began in 2006 on Youtube.

In fact, the producers uploaded the first video song to the Internet to present it to a Brazilian TV channel.

That channel rejected the series but, a few months later, parents were discovering the video songs and playing them for their kids.

The authors decided then to invest in creating more content. They launched the company Bromelia Productions, released the first DVD, and it was a massive success.

Several DVDs followed, the content was translated and adapted to English and Spanish, and Lottie Dottie Chicken and its songs for toddlers took over the world.

After starting to adapt and translate the songs for toddlers, as well as form relationships with other countries, we realized how important it is to create an exchange of classic children’s songs from other countries and Brazil. Including songs from other countries establishes a cultural and emotional link with the local culture.

Says Marcos Luporini, musical director of the series.

Lottie Dottie Chicken is the main star, but the show has other characters to fill kids’ imagination
